Hit the Beach
In the years '88 & '89 Harley prepares two prototypes of the Fat Boy for Will G. and Louie Netz to ride to Daytona Bike Week.
Willie G. was regularly present at meetings. He did this mainly to strengthen the bond with the public, to look at the latest trends and to ask the public's opinion. A tradition that Harley Davidson still lives up to today.

Let's Celebrate!
The Fat Boy became available with a 140 in the front and a 200 wide tire in the back! Also the Fat Boy joined the CVO program to commemorate its 15th anniversary and the bike was equipped with a lot of nice features. To start the cruiser was a lot lower than the original models, as well as a solo seat called the "steel pan." All across the motor there where special chrome parts added such ass grips, floorboards, risers, bolt covers. Also the FLSTFSE (SE stands for Screamin’ Eagle) rolled on a new set of 17” Road Winder forged aluminum wheels. This was the first Harley Fat Boy with standard 4 pistons rear brake, hydraulic clutch and siren alarm. The Screamin 'Eagle Fat Boy had the 1690 cc Twin Cam 103 stroker engine and was available in three optional two-tone color schemes with special grinding effects. Harley manufactured 3,400 CVO Fat Boys this year.

15 Year Anniversary FLSTF
A special 15th Anniversary version of the bulky cruiser was also introduced. Special features include a unique silver color or a vivid black color, 24K gold-plated tank emblem, double-stitched seat, a gold-striped air cleaner cover, timer cover and ignition switch plate, a big, chrome headlight, rider floor boards, a fat front fork, plus solid-disc wheels with wide tires mounted on them. All of these features are inspired by the first 1990 Fat Boy. Harley produced a limited number of Screamin' Eagle Fat Boys for the 2005 model year. Despite that fact, the 15th Anniversary Fat Boy is a limited edition bike that comes stock with a motor that's a full 100cc bigger - 1550cc to be exact. The extra power for the 96-cubic-inch, air-cooled Twin-Cam 88B V-Twin motor does come from a Screamin' Eagle Big Bore Kit.
